Treasurer
Dear Tappers,
My name is Renzo, and for the past six months I’ve had the pleasure of being our treasurer.
It’s an interesting role that requires you to maintain an overview and communicate with the external coordinator and the treasurers of the various committees. The money has to be spent wisely and remain within the budget. This means you need to think ahead about how the funds will be allocated over the course of the association’s fiscal year.
Naturally, the members also have preferences about how the money is spent, so sometimes you have to put yourself in someone else’s shoes when creating the budget.
The experience you gain as treasurer will also be useful if you plan to start your own business.
